A new chapter, on your own terms.

After decades together, you're not only ending a marriage. You're letting go of a shared home, a shared future, and often the picture of the family you thought you'd have.

You are not starting over from nothing. You have decades of experience behind you.
Therapy gives you space to grieve what's ending and to decide what comes next.

FAQ

Got questions? I've got answers.

What can I expect from my first therapy session?

Think of our first session as a chance to get comfortable. You'll share a little about what brought you here, what you're hoping for, and any worries on your mind. I'll walk you through how everything works and we'll figure out the best way to move forward — together. No pressure, no judgment.

How long does each therapy session last?

Sessions are 60 minutes, which gives us enough time to really dig in without taking over your whole day. If you need a little more time, I also offer 80-minute sessions — totally up to you.

How do I know which type of therapy is right for me?

Honestly? We figure it out together. In our early sessions, we'll talk about your history, what's going on now, and what you want to feel different. From there, I'll tailor my approach to fit you — not the other way around.

Is everything I say in therapy confidential?

Yes — what you share stays between us. Confidentiality is something I take really seriously. There are a few rare legal and safety exceptions, but I'll always be upfront with you about those.

Do you accept insurance?

I'm not in-network with any insurance providers, but I can give you a superbill to submit for possible reimbursement. I accept cash, check, and all major credit cards — Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, and more.

How often should I attend therapy sessions?

Most people start with weekly sessions — it helps build momentum and keeps things moving. As you make progress, we can dial it back to every other week or once a month. We'll check in regularly and adjust as we go.

Can you help with my custody case?

I don't write custody letters or testify, but I can help you stay grounded and make clear decisions while you go through the process. Your attorney handles the legal side, and I support you.

Do you offer couples therapy?

No, I work with individuals going through divorce and its aftermath.

Do you work with my ex or my kids too?

No. My work is with you individually. If your children need support, we can talk through options for finding the right fit.

What if my ex is high-conflict?

Many of my clients are in this situation. When a high-conflict ex makes true co-parenting unrealistic, we'll work on parallel parenting.

How much does therapy cost?

Your first session is 80 minutes and $220 — a little longer so we have plenty of time to get to know each other. After that, 60-minute sessions are $150 and 80-minute sessions are $180.
